It is with great honor that the Grand Prairie Police Department and the Sergeant Gregory L. Hunter Memorial Foundation present our continued partnership with the Guns and Hoses Foundation of North Texas, as we host the 7th Annual Tarrant County Guns and Hoses “Remember the Fallen” golf tournament tournament.

This partnership effort brings awareness to Tarrant County for the Guns and Hoses Foundation, while also continuing our tradition of honoring the remembrance, life, service and sacrifice of Grand Prairie Police Sergeant Gregory L. Hunter, 30-year veteran, who was tragically ambushed and murdered by an armed fugitive at the Grand Prairie Walmart on June 18, 2004, Officer Lyndon F. King, who was struck and killed by a drunk driver while working an accident scene on I-30 near the 7th Street overpass on March 1, 1982, Officer Albert J. Castañeda, who was struck and killed by a 17 year-old driver while working traffic enforcement on the George W. Bush Turnpike on June 7, 2019,  Officer Andrew R. MacDonald, who died on October 18, 2021 from complications as the result of contracting COVID-19 and Officer Brandon Tsai, who was killed in a vehicle crash on November 14, 2022, while pursuing a vehicle with a fraudulent temporary tag.  We salute and honor all officers and firefighters across our nation who have made the supreme sacrifice.
