After Death of Dallas Fire Captain Kenneth Harris

(Dallas, TX) The Guns & Hoses Foundation of North Texas has activated its Survivors Fund in response to the death of Dallas Fire Department Captain, Kenneth Harris.  Captain Harris was killed in the explosion that rocked West, TX on Wednesday, April 17th.

Captain Harris, a resident of West, was helping fight the blaze caused by the explosion at the fertilizer plant when he and several other firefighters were reported missing. Harris was not a volunteer firefighter for West, but responded when he heard the news of the explosion Wednesday night.

Captain Harris was a 30 year veteran with the Dallas Fire Department and was stationed at Fire Station 30.  He is survived by his wife and three sons.

The Guns & Hoses Foundation of North Texas dedicates 100% of all donations to the Survivor’s Fund to the dependents of law enforcement officers and firefighters killed in the line of duty.
