Hisun Motors Corp., USA donated 260 generators to the Guns & Hoses Foundation of North Texas  to provide assistance for the Hurricane Harvey relief efforts taking place in Southeast Texas.

Throughout the week, several Police and Fire Departments from the North Texas Area will be traveling to the Houston area to assist those in need. Several departments, including Garland Police Department, Garland Fire Department, Grand Prairie Police Department, McKinney Fire Department and Allen Fire Department have already been equipped with generators to be used during their relief efforts.

Dave Swavey, Guns & Hoses Foundation Executive Director stated, "“We’ve got cops and firemen sleeping in parking lots, sleeping in their own trucks, sleeping in the personnel carriers they took down there,” he said. “This is going to help them power themselves to get through the day.”

Swavey also said, "“We’re going to be indebted to (Hisun) forever,” he said. “When they first called me, I wasn’t sure, but when I talked to Houston, they’re like, ‘oh my gosh, you’re kidding me, right?’

After hearing about the assistance the Guns & Hoses Foundation was receiving from Hisun Motors Corp. through CBS radio station 105.3 The Fan, former Dallas Cowboys quarterback Tony Romo reached out committing to assist with transportation to make sure the generators arrive in the Houston area in the time of need.
