Guns & Hoses Benevolence Fund Opens For Fallen Little Elm Detective Jerry Walker

(Tuesday-January 17, 2017) At approximately 3:00pm officers responded to a report of an individual with a long gun in the 1400 block of Turtle Cove in Little Elm, Texas. Shortly after arriving, officers told the suspect to drop the gun, causing the suspect to run inside his home and begin shooting at the officers striking 15-year veteran Detective Jerry Walker. After being transported to Denton Regional Medical Center, Detective Walker succumbed to his gun-wound received in the line of duty. 

The missions of Guns & Hoses Foundation of North Texas is to show our respect and gratitude for first responders lost in the line of duty. We are dedicated to provide monetary support for the families of fallen first responders in the hour of need. 

The Guns & Hoses Foundation of North Texas has officially opened the Benevolence Fund to help assist the family of fallen Detective Jerry Walker. Since July of 2016, Guns & Hoses Foundation of North Texas has assisted the families of 8 fallen officers including, Fallen Irving Officer Dahl, SMU Officer McCullers, Corrections Officer Johnson, and the slain Dallas Officers lost in the July 7th tragedy. These men and women showed a great deal of strength in their lives and in our communities. The bottom line is, we can’t do it without your help.
